This revelation was announced through a pop-up notification for users who had the app already installed in their phones.
The notification stated that the current version of the app would be shut down on 24th March 2021 and would be replaced by a much newer version.
Current users will be able to access the new version of the app by simply clicking on the Update links which will direct them to install the new version from the Playstore.
The mySafaricom app is an alternative option for Safaricom users to access Safaricom services such as airtime purchases, paybill, sending money etc besides the SIM toolkit and Ussd.
