How To Know Whether Your Maisha Namba Card Is Ready And Where To Collect It [2023]

Maisha Namba card is a card containing a unique digital number that bears an individual’s biometric data which will be useful when accessing government services.

The captured data will assist the government enhance efficiency in the use of public resources, act as a planning basis in the delivery of affordable housing targets, prevent fraud or manipulation in the access of services as well as attract investors in the Manufacturing sector and spur growth in the labor market.

Mass registration for the huduma number began in March 2019 and was set to run for 45 days targeting Kenyans aged six and above.

After registration, the captured data was analyzed, compiled and used in the generation of the physical huduma number cards with the first batch of cards being unveiled in February 2021.

Persons whose Maisha namba cards will be ready will get notified via a personalized SMS from MAISHA NAMBA containing a link which would be used to access the maisha namba portal as shown by the below sample SMS

Once at the portal, you are required to choose: your county, sub-county and preferred collection point

Once the above is done, click on ‘SUBMIT‘

If you have NOT received any SMS from Huduma number, you can also check your card status using the method below.

How To Check Huduma Card Status

Click on the huduma namba link to access the portal.

Enter your national ID number and click ‘Check card status’ to receive the progress details of your huduma card as shown below.
