Okash Introduces Minor Updates To Their App

Tenspot Kenya Ltd the providers of Okash loan app seem to have been busy making some subtle changes to their Okash loan app if the changes noticed by our editor are anything to go by.

For those unfamiliar with the lender, Okash offers loans ranging from Ksh500 to Ksh 90,000 for a period of 14 days contrary to its claims of 91/92 days.

Aside from their previous introduction of a prize draw reward and membership levels system, Okash has recently made some additional changes that may have gone unnoticed to periodic users of the loan app.

Below, we will look at some of these changes.

Reduction of loan limits

Frequent users of the Okash loan app have noticed that loan limits have been slashed by almost half.

Borrowers who previously had limits exceeding Ksh15,000 have faced a reduction of up-to Ksh3,500 with no reasonable explanation from the lender despite positive repayment histories.

Frequent loan denials

Users who have never defaulted on or made late repayments to Okash loans are now facing frequent loan denials.

Introduction of Swahili version

Users can now access the Swahili version of the app by clicking on the menu button located at the top left of the app’s dashboard and tapping on ‘Swahili’

Increase of withdrawal limits

Okash offers referral bonuses of Ksh600 and Ksh800 for successful invitations made via your link and repayments made on time respectively.

Initially, such bonuses could be withdrawn upon reaching the Ksh1,000 limit. However, the lender has since increased it to Ksh5,000
