How To Book For Covid Vaccination In Kenya
1. Account Creation
Navigate to the Chanjo KE ministry of health online portal
Click on ‘Sign Up’ to start your account creation process beginning with your vaccination status i.e whether you have been vaccinated or not.
Secondly, you will be required to select an identification type that you will provide at the health facility during vaccination from the list provided which include: national ID/passport/birth certificate/alien ID or military ID then enter its corresponding identification number.
Thirdly, fill in your email address and phone number.
Lastly, enter and confirm password that will be used for all future logins to your account and click ‘Sign Up’
2. Registration
Once logged in, you will be directed to your home dashboard to begin the registration process.
To do this, click on ‘Register’ to open the registration form and fill in the required info which include:
Personal details: first/middle/last name, gender, date of birth, country of origin, identification type & number, occupation and religion.
Contact info: email address and phone number.
Next of kin: kin name, phone number, relationship and next of kin email address.
Residence: county, sub county, ward, village/estate and landmark.
Allergies and Conditions: You need to submit any pre-existing conditions or allergies you may have.
Once all the above have been accurately filled, click on ‘Confirm details’
Where To Get Covid Vaccine In Kenya
Depending on your location in Kenya, the Ministry of health has outlined a list of facilities offering covid-19 vaccine services in Kenya whereby you can get the vaccine upon its availability.
Once you get to a vaccination center, please note that those with prior online booking will be given first priority to get the vaccine. Therefore, it is HIGHLY ADVISED that you book online first before proceeding to any vaccination center.
Once there, you will be required to submit your details e.g id number for verification whereby upon successful verification, you will be given the covid-19 vaccination jab and later an sms sent to your registered phone number acknowledging your 1st dose of the available vaccine as well as the date for the next dose.
How To Download and Get A Covid Vaccination Certificate In Kenya
Once you have been vaccinated, your certificate will be available in the portal for download in PDF format. To download it, log in to your account and click on the ‘Vaccination certificate’ menu located on the left.
The Covid vaccination certificate sample is as below indicating your name, birth date, country of origin, id number, date of vaccine administration as well as date for the next dose.
In the event that you cannot see your certificate yet you have been fully vaccinated, confirm with the facility where you took your vaccination on whether your details were entered correctly.
