Prepaid tariff means that payment is made prior to using any of the Safaricom services such as data, SMS and voice while Postpaid implies making payment after using said Safaricom services.
By default, new Safaricom subscribers are usually assigned to the prepaid tariff and it is therefore one’s choice if they need to migrate to the postpaid tariff.
