The M-PESA statement refers to a report detailing one’s M-PESA transactions over a particular period which usually comprises of Money In and Money Out.

The service can be accessed through Safaricom network via Ussd codes *234# and *334# and exists in variations of mini or full statement set at 3,6 and 12 month periods.

Upon request, the Mpesa statement is configured to be sent out to the email address that was provided during initial subscription to the service.

However, the subscriber is at liberty to change mpesa statement email to whichever s/he prefers at anytime in the future.

To do this, there are 2 available options that allow this.

Via Ussd *234#

  • Dial *234# via Safaricom line.
  • Select option 5: M-PESA Information
  • Select option 1: M-PESA Statement
  • Select option 3: Change mpesa statement email
  • Enter the new email address
  • Confirm the new email address
  • Enter your national ID
  • You will receive a confirmation text stating that your email address has been successfully updated.

Via Ussd *334#

  • Dial *334# via Safaricom line
  • Select option 7: My Account
  • Select option 6: M-PESA Statement
  • Select option 3: Change mpesa statement email
  • Enter the new email address
  • Confirm the new email address
  • Enter your national ID
  • You will receive a confirmation text stating that your email address has been successfully updated.

Via mySafaricom app

  • Download, install and launch the mySafaricom app
  • Click on the M-PESA tab
  • Tap on the M-PESA Statement tab at the bottom
  • Tap on Change Email
  • You will be required to enter then confirm your new email as well as input your National ID number.
  • You will receive a confirmation prompt stating that your email has been successfully changed.
