As demand for electricity began to increase due to the effects of urbanization, KPLC sought it best to improve on its service delivery through the adoption of the prepayment system.
Prepayment refers to prior payment on any service/product that is to be provided.
This prepayment model system was set to enhance consumer satisfaction through management of power budgets by way of minimization of over-the-counter transactions.
Despite adoption of the electricity prepayment technology being pegged on service improvement, minor inconveniences are still being encountered via the token system.
Such problems may include system downtime leading to token delays or unresponsive Paybill numbers while others maybe as a result of the user’s own undertakings.
A classic example of this is when one inputs a wrong account number when purchasing units via Paybill. If you ever find yourself in such a situation, do not be alarmed.
Just follow the below procedure without hesitation.
Are you ready?
All you need to do is buy a token amount of either Ksh5 or Ksh 10 to the correct account number.
