A Mombasa based businessman accused of forging a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education result dheet was yesterday freed by a Nairobi court.

Titus Omondi Sind alias Breshiner Omondi was discharged by senior principal magistrate Peter Ndwiga, following an application by Superintendent of police Bridget Kanyai, prosecuting, that investigators wanted the case to be withdrawn under section 87(A) of the Criminal Procedure Code

Lawyer Edward Oonge, representing the accused did not oppose the prosecution request. The police wanted to conducted further investigation into the case.

Omondi had been charged on unknown dates and unknown place in the republic of Kenya, jointly with others not before court, made a false document namely KCSE result sheet No. 16032 for Serani Secondary School for the year 1993 purporting it to be genuine document issued by Kenya Examination Council.
