ClinicPesa is a healthcare loan facility catered to Ugandans who have no insurance cover to help them meet their medical bills as well as purchase medicine. 

ClinicPesa is available to Ugandan citizens who are eighteen (18) years and above and possess an MTN sim card with an active mobile money account.

How To Register For ClinicPesa

Registration to ClinicPesa can be done via three options i.e.

a) Via USSD Code

MTN network subscribers can opt into the service by dialing *165*5# and selecting ‘ClinicPesa’

Enter your mobile money PIN in-order to accept the terms and conditions upon which your ClinicPesa account is automatically created and activated.

b) Via ClinicPesa App

Download, install and launch the ClinicPesa app available from the Playstore

Create your 5-digit PIN to accept the terms and conditions

How To Qualify For ClinicPesa Loan

To become eligible for the ClinicPesa loan, your MTN subscription duration should not be less than six (6) months and must also frequently use MTN services such as  voice, data & mobile money in addition to saving via the ClinicPesa platform.

Saving via ClinicPesa entails making daily/weekly/monthly deposits to your ClinicPesa account to be used for any future medical expenses.

ClinicPesa Loan Amounts, Interest Rate & Repayment Duration

ClinicPesa provides its users with loan amounts ranging from UGX 3,000 up-to a maximum amount of UGX 3,000,000 whereby the amounts attract an interest of 7% repayable within a period of 30 days.

The loan limits are reviewed monthly whereby timely repayments increase the chances of being given higher credit limits in the future.

In addition, the service also allows the uptake of multiple loans simultaneously as long as the amounts are within one’s assigned credit limit.

How To Repay ClinicPesa Loan

Repayments can be made via mobile money or ClinicPesa savings account. However, failure to make repayment within the due date will result in an extension period of a further 30 days attracting an additional 7% interest rate.

Prolonged non-repayment will result in loss of credit limit as well as being blacklisted by CRB
