RentScore is a Rent Now, Pay Later rent deposit finance option by Proptech Kenya Ltd to assist in the facilitation of rent deposit financing to tenants when moving to a new house to ease the financial burden of moving expenses.

How To Qualify For RentScore Deposit Financing

In-order to be eligible to use the service applicants are required to submit a national ID card and 6-month’s M-Pesa and bank statements.

How To Register & Apply For RentScore Financing

Go the RentScore Kenya website and click on the ‘Apply’ button

Click the ‘Proceed’ button

Enter your name, email address and phone number

Select the time frame scheduled for the move among the available options i.e current month/next month/after more than 2 months

Enter the rent required for the new house

State your current area/location of residence

State the area/neighborhood of your relocation

Indicate whether you require a RentScore agent to assist in a suitable house search

Once done, click on ‘Submit’

You will receive an email notifying you regarding receipt of your application.

Proceed to send via Whatsapp or email your latest 6 months mpesa statements together with a copy of your ID for the verification process

Upon completion of verification, a credit limit will be assigned.

Also, a signed Tenancy Agreement of where you’re moving to and proof of payment of the first month’s rent is also required during the final application stage.

Upon successful application as well as payment of the first month’s rent, the loan processing will commence and be channeled directly to the landlord of the new house.

RentScore Credit Limit Amount, Interest Rate And Repayment Duration

Rent score provides a minimum amount of Ksh10,000 upto a maximum of Ksh50,000 with a fixed interest rate at 5% p.m and a one-off processing fee of Ksh1,000 and repayment period of 3-6 equal monthly installments.
